Osteoarthritis is a tough disease to manage. Even a relatively simple act like jogging can hurt more than help.
A group of Australian and UK researchers surveyed 459 golfers with O.A and the percentage reporting good health was 90 % as opposed to the general population with O.A reporting 64% .
Nearly a 1/4 of non golfers reported high or very high levels of psychological stress compared with 8% of golfers.
This pattern of improved physical and mental health remained when the researchers looked at the general non OA population.
