Feeling stressed or anxious? Not quite ready for therapy but would like to speak to a non-judgemental doctor who has an interest in mental health? This type of consult is ideal if you are not ready to see a psychologist but would feel more comfortable talking to your General Practitioner.

For some people counselling is a way to reduce stress and anxiety. The goal of counselling is to assist individuals in exploring their problems and can help them find solutions. Myself as your G.P I am able to determine the diagnosis (if there is one, reassure you if there isn’t.)

Three sessions are advised and normally if the problem is not solved, I can recommend a psychologist or if medication is needed, we can go this route with you or simply reassure you.
